Sept 9th Trip, 2011 – Last Trip of The Season
Our last trip of the season started off with the best weather you could ever ask for – not only in September – but all summer long! The sun was shining in Lake Louise – no rain – no snow – just clear blue skies for 2 solid days. Best weather we have ever had there. Amazing. Then at Peyto – it was a shock to arrive to no tour buses and literally one couple... -
August 5th Trip
When we had only 5 people booked in for this trip, we were a little worried it would be a quieter trip than we were used to – what a mistake that was! With only 5, we made more noise, partied harder, drank more and played harder than we normally do with 12 people! The weather was beyond amazing – perfect to be exact – not once did we have to put up the tarp... -
July 15th Trip
So – Here I am back at Base Camp wondering how that 2 weeks flew by so fast?! The first few days of our trip were pretty quiet, that is if you forget about Steve in his Pink Onesie in Banff (yes – he wore it at the country bar all night), which most of us are still trying to recover from. But as Justin amazed everyone with his skills with Poi (usually fire on... -
June 30th Trip – And What A Trip It Was
Where to start….so many great things happened on this trip. I guess we should start with the best Griz sighting we have ever had. He just hung out and let us take pictures forever – we actually left before he did. He was massive – and beautiful. Our other bear sighting was a little more strange – on the paintball field of all places! A Moose even dropped by for a quick visit on our... -

Amazing Season Start Up Weekend in Golden
We always like to have a weekend with the FreeBird Team before the season starts – reminisce, make plans, remember what FreeBird is all about – and this year we went to Golden for the weekend and it was incredible! We started off at the Wolf Sanctuary, then headed to the Buffalo Ranch to see Chester (the 2000lb bull) and ended our little day tour at the Moberly Pub, with a follow up at the... -

He’s Coming Back…
That’s right – Justin will be back for our 2011 season – and we could not be happier to have him back on the FreeBird Team. Another season of his shenanigans, more late night stories, the chance to see the flip cup champion in action, and of course, his never ending dance moves to entertain us all on 80′s night! For those of you who have not yet had the chance to tour the FreeBird... -
Zee Germans …
I was just organizing my pics from the Fall – and who should appear but Zee Germans; Apple Queen, Weather Angel and Gorgeous! I am not sure how we fit so much touring, drinking, shopping and a Brad Paisley concert into only a few short days, but it was fantastic. And our Moose sighting on the way out of Water Valley was extraordinary – so lucky! And the Powder Pizazz – well – what can...
