FreeBird Camping Trips include our legendary full service, all meals, transportation and accommodation. We travel in our new coach bus, with all the camping gear and supplies, and take you to some of the most amazing campsites in the world, where you can enjoy your time hiking, biking, and the great outdoors. The overnight canoe / kayak trip to a private beach camp on Clearwater Lake is a highlight not to be missed.

Full Service

We are a full service adventure trip, and included with this full service is transportation, meals, accommodation and more.
FreeBird Adventures not only believes in Full Service, but we take the meaning of it to a whole new level. We know that you are on holidays and you want to spend as much time doing activities and seeing as much as you can while here – and we couldn’t agree more. That’s why we not only provide all the camping gear – but we set it all up for you. We not only provide your meals, but we cook them, serve them and clean up afterwards – leaving you more time to go out and explore and enjoy.
And it’s not just about the food and camping, but also about the activities you choose to do. We know the best companies to use for activities, the best hikes and the best biking trails. All you have to do is tell us what you want to do and we will make it happen. Phone calls, reservations, transportation – you name it, we will do it for you. That’s full service and that’s what we do.

So, What’s Included?

MEALS are homemade and incredibly satisfying. You will never go hungry with our big breakfasts, snacks along the way, full lunches and made-around-the-fire suppers. Here are just a few examples of the delicious meals you will enjoy: French Toast, Steak Dinner, BBQ Salmon, Chicken Fajitas, Cookies, Fruits & Veggies.

TRANSPORTATION is a 15 passenger bus. There is a big aisle for comfort of moving around, a great sound system and big windows, with comfortable reclining seats. Your driver is Brian and he is incredibly experienced and knows every curve in the road. We pull a trailer, so all the luggage & gear are out of your way.

CAMPING ACCOMMODATION is high quality tents that only have 2 people, giving you lots of space and your own entrance. The mattresses and sleeping bags are comfortable, warm & freshly dry cleaned. We believe your holiday is made better by a good nights sleep – and we provide quality gear in order to make this possible.

PARK FEES, TOLLS etc., are already included in your price. Your original trip payment covers things like National Park Passes, Highway Tolls, Ferry Crossings, Camping Fees and Fire Permits. It is all included up front with no hidden surprises and no “local fee” to be paid upon arrival.

ACTIVITIES are all the fun things we do along the way. These are the things that will make your holiday that extra little bit special such as the amazingly scenic overnight canoeing trip, a local meadery tour, a market garden stop, ancient cedar walk, town walking tours, icefields, waterfalls and canyons.

Camping Destinations

One of the best parts of camping with FreeBird is that we pick the most amazing places to stay, provide you with all the camping gear, and set up and take down camp for you while you are out enjoying your holiday. We choose our sites based on your needs and on the experience you will get by being in each different setting. For example, one night we stay in a meadow along the Columbia River, between two massive mountain ranges. It is incredibly picturesque, but this spot also has wi-fi, an immaculate shower house with laundry facilities, as well as horseback riding, paragliding, hiking, swimming and beach volleyball all located on site – in a private, off the beaten path location.

Here are some of the campground settings you will experience on our trip…

Provincial Parks – Clearwater has a site where we canoe out to a private beach side camp ground. The lake is perfect for fishing and swimming, and the waterfalls are spectacular. A great couple nights spent star gazing around the fire.

National Parks – Banff and Jasper National Park have some of the nicest camping in all of North America, and we are proud to stay in two of their more rustic sites. One is under a massive glacier topped mountain along the river, and the other is one of the best places for elk viewing, as they wander through your site. Free evening entertainment, biking and hiking paths, and with town just a quick walk away, it is a spectacular camp setting.
