Full Service
We look after you every step of the way. We make your reservations for you, get you a discount and check you into your hostel, then show you around and even do a city tour. We explain all the adventures possible in each location, and once you have decided what activities you want to do, we book them for you and take you to them. This could be as simple as knowing what trail takes you to the top of the mountain and showing you the map, or booking your bungee jumping, getting you a discount on the jump and taking you out to the best bridge in Canada to jump from. It is all part of what we do to make sure your days are filled with everything you want out of your holiday. Everyday, we do X-Time – where you can stop by and get help planning your day, make changes to your reservations, or just hang out with the FreeBird team in the coffee shop after a good night out.
So What’s Included?
TRANSPORTATION is a new 15 passenger bus. There is a big aisle for comfort of moving around, a great sound system and big windows, with comfortable reclining seats. Your driver is Brian and he is incredibly experienced and knows every curve in the road. It’s a beautiful bus and we know you will enjoy the ride.
PARK FEES etc., are already included in your price. Your original trip payment covers things like National Park Passes, Highway Tolls, Ferry Crossings. It is all included up front with no hidden surprises and no “local fee” to be paid upon arrival.
X-TIME is when time the FreeBird Team helps you plan your day, makes your reservations for you, answers any questions you have, and gives you the daily activities that are happening around town, including best bars and restaurants.
RESERVATIONS for your hostels are already made for you and we have chosen the best value for your money and the best location. We also make reservations for any activities you choose. Getting reservations in the summer is incredibly difficult but we have done it for you, months in advance.
DISCOUNTS are available through us on not only your hostel, but your activities as well. Because we use these places and companies often, they give us a deal – and we pass that deal onto you. For example, one hostel gives us 10% off, and another gives you $5 “fun money” to use in the bar or restaurant and free breakfast.
ACTIVITIES that we include are city tours, an ancient cedar walk, lake visits, a pub crawl, “no line, no cover” at many bars and an 80’s night that you will never forget!
Destinations
The FreeBird Loop is 10 days, starting in Calgary, Alberta and working our way out to Vancouver, British Columbia through the Rocky Mountains and then back through the lake district for some beach time. You will get to experience everything from small villages to big cities, the desert and the lake district, the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. And of course we hit all the typical tourist spots, but we love taking you to our favorite hidden gems along the way.
A trip to Canada would not be complete without going to our national highlights – Banff National Park, and of course Whistler – home of the 2010 Olympics. But we also like to show you the real Canada; get out of the touristy areas and into true nature and some really great small towns where you can get to know the local culture. Local company plus local guides equals local highlights!!
Here are some of the great places you will get to experience while on FreeBird Xtreme:

Banff National Park and Banff Townsite, Alberta
Lake Louise, Alberta
Golden, British Columbia
Whistler, British Columbia
Vancouver, British Columbia
Kelowna and the Okanagan, British Columbia
